Through our AMPED Student Ministry, First Baptist Church of Erwin is committed to prepare youth to be the disciples that Jesus called each of us to be! We provide an atmosphere that not only allows young people to enjoy themselves but also learn about Christ and participate in Bible study and mission work. We believe that youth are the church and are committed to preparing them to be disciples of the gospel!

Mike serves as Youth Director at First Baptist Church of Erwin and leads the “AMPED” Youth group for grades 6th through 12th.  Mike’s desire is to see our youth grow in their relationship with Christ through service and fellowship to become the disciple we are called to be.  Mike loves spending time with his family at the lake, singing gospel music and is an avid hunter. Mike is married to Andrea and they have one daughter, Anna.

Sunday Morning

Sunday School (Bible Study) is a time for youth and their parents to grow in God’s Word and fellowship with one another. We meet on Sunday mornings from 9:45 - 10:30 a.m.

Youth Group

Youth Group is on Sunday evenings at 5:15pm - 6:30pm (September - May) and we encourage any youth in grades 6-12 that might be interested to check us out! Parents are always welcome!
