The ministry our choir provides is an important aspect of worship. We believe when we meet together as a body and sing hymns and praises to God, we are lifting up a unified prayer to him. Our choir assists in leading the congregation in this and fostering a worshipful atmosphere.
Teresa Aiken has served as Music Director of First Baptist Church of Erwin for over 30 years. She directs the music groups that provide appropriate musical leadership for services and special events throughout the year. Teresa’s desire is to help promote worship through a variety of musical ministries and events. Teresa loves spending time with her family, reading, and playing the piano. Teresa is married to her husband Walter and has three children.
The Music Ministry of First Baptist Church of Erwin is busy and ever-growing! You can join the choir to help lead worship at the 11:00 AM service. Our choir meets to practice every Wednesday at 7 PM.
We would love for you to join hand bells and help us to lead worship during special services. Hand bells meets to practice every Sunday at 5:00 PM.
